Seventh Coast Guard District Auxiliary Policy Directive AD-02.3

Subj: D7 AUXILIARY DIVISION GEOGRAPHICAL BOUNDARY LINES

1. PURPOSE. To provide policy and guidance to all Auxiliary members in the Seventh District concerning the geographical boundary lines of the Auxiliary Divisions in District Seven.

2. ACTION. All Auxiliarists in the Seventh Coast Guard District shall become familiar with the contents of this Directive.

3. DIRECTIVES AFFECTED. Seventh Coast Guard District Auxiliary Policy Directive AD-02.2 is cancelled.

4. DISCUSSION. The geographical boundary lines of the Divisions comprising the Seventh Coast Guard District are listed in enclosure (1).

5. ENVIRONMENTAL ASPECT AND IMPACT CONSIDERATIONS. Environmental considerations were examined in the development of this directive and have been determined to be not applicable.

6. FORMS/REPORTS. The most up to date forms can be found online at http://forms.cgaux.org/.

7. RESPONSIBILITY. The Director will maintain Directives and make changes based on recommendations from the DCO.

Seventh District Auxiliary Division Geographical Boundary Lines

Division 1. The Islands of Puerto Rico, Vieques, and Culebra.

Division 2. Starting at the intersection of the Florida-Georgia state line and longitude 84 _ 45’ W, north along the east bank of the Jim Woodruff Reservoir (Lake Seminole) and the east bank of the Flint River upstream to Montezuma, Georgia, then northwest on a straight line to West Point, Georgia, and continuing north along the Georgia-Alabama state line to the Georgia north boundary line, then east along the boundary line to US 25, south along US 25 to 1-20, then southwest on 1-20 to the Savannah River north of Augusta, Georgia, then southeast along the Savannah River to US 301, then Southwest on a straight line to the intersection of 1-75 and the Northern Florida state line to longitude 84 _ 45’ W.

Division 3. From the Atlantic Ocean along the south city limits of Delray Beach due west to the Miami Canal, then southeast along the canal to the Broward County line, then east on the county line to the Atlantic Ocean.

Division 4. From the Atlantic Coast at Marineland West along the Mantanzas Creek to US 1, South on US 1to Bunnell and continuing west on SR 100 to SR 305, then south on SR 305 to Seville, then north on US 17 to SR 306, then west on SR 306 to the ferry at Fruitland, continue west to SR 19, then south to Salt Springs, west on SR 316 to the mouth of the Ocklawaha River, then south upstream following the Ocklawaha River to the Marion-Lake county line at the tip of Lake Griffin, west on the county line to the west county line of Lake County, south on the Sumter-Lake county line to the Southern boundary of Division 15, east on a line to US 27, south along US27 to the south county line of Polk County, then east along the county line to SR 441, north along SR 441 to the point due west of Sebastian Inlet, then due east to Sebastian Inlet.

Division 5. From the Atlantic Ocean along the south city limits of Delray Beach due west to SR 29, north on SR 29 to US 27, north on US 27 to the south county line of Polk County, east along the county line to SR 441, north along SR 441 to a point due west of Sebastian Inlet, due east to Sebastian Inlet.

Division 6. From the Atlantic Ocean west on the Broward County line, to the Miami Canal northwest along the canal to the south boundary of Division 5, which runs due west from the south city limits of Delray Beach, west along the boundary line to SR 29, south along SR 29 to the north west corner of Monroe County at the Gulf of Mexico, southeast on a line to Angelfish Creek at Card Sound and the Atlantic Ocean.

Division 7. From the Gulf of Mexico at Belleair east to Old Tampa Bay to the west of the Courtney Campbell Causeway and across the causeway to the Tampa city limits, around the northern boundary of the city of Tampa to 1-4, east along 1-4 to US 27, south on US 27 to the northern boundary of Highlands County and west along the northern boundary of Highlands, west along the northern boundaries of Hardee and Manatee counties of Tampa Bay, following the center of the ship channel to the Gulf of Mexico.

Division 8. From the Gulf of Mexico following the center of the ship channel through Tampa Bay to the north boundary line of Manatee County, east along the northern boundaries of Manatee and Hardee counties to US 27, south on Us 27 to SR 70 then west on SR 70 to Myakka City, south along the west bank of the Myakka River to the junction of SR 771 and SR 776, then directly south to a point located at latitude 26 _ 43.7‘ N., longitude 82 _ 13.3’ W. in Charlotte Harbor, to the middle of the shipping channel of Boca Grande Pass on a bearing of 247 degrees True, through Boca Grande Pass to the Gulf of Mexico.

Division 9. From the Gulf of Mexico through Boca Grande Pass on a bearing of 067 degrees True, up the middle of the shipping channel to a point located at latitude 26 _ 43.7’ N., longitude 82 _ 13.3’ W in Charlotte Harbor, directly north to the junction of SR 776 and SR 771, then in a northeasterly direction along SR 771 to the Myakka River, north along the west shore of the Myakka River to Myakka City, east along ST 70 to US 27, south along US 27 to SR 29, south along SR 29 to Everglades City and through Chokoloskee Pass to the Gulf of Mexico.

Division 10. From the Atlantic Ocean along the Florida-Georgia state line to 1-75, northeastward on a straight line to the intersection of US 301 and the Savannah River, then southeast on a straight line through St. Helena Sound to the Atlantic Ocean.

Division 11. From the Gulf of Mexico at Aripeka, east on the Hernando-Pasco County line and an extension thereof to US 27, south on US 27 to 1-4, west on 1-4 to the Tampa city limits, along the northern boundary of the City of Tampa to the Courtney Campbell Causeway, west across the causeway to the western shore of Old Tampa Bay, then west on a line to Belleair at the Gulf of Mexico.

Division 12. Starting at the north boundary line of South Carolina and the Atlantic Ocean follow the state line west to US 25, south along US 25 to 1-20, west on 1-20 to the Savannah River to US 301, then southeast on a straight line through St. Helena Sound to the Atlantic Ocean.

Division 13. From the northwest corner of Monroe County at the Gulf of Mexico, southeast on a line to Angelfish Creek at Card Sound and the Atlantic Ocean to include all of Dade and Monroe counties south of that line.

Division 14. From the Atlantic Ocean along the Florida-Georgia state line to 1-75, southeast along 1-75 to SR 18, east on SR 316 to Salt Springs, north on SR 19 to due west of Fruitland, then east to the Fruitland ferry, east on SR 306 to 1-17, south to Seville, east on SR 305 to Deanville, then continue north on SR 305 to SR 100, east on SR 100 to Bunnell, then North on US 1 to the Mantanzas Creek, then East to the Atlantic Coast at Marineland..

Division 15. From the intersection of the Florida gulf coast line and longitude 83 _ 50’ W due north to a position located at latitude 30 _ 15’ N., longitude 83 _ 50’ W, then due west to a position located at latitude 30 _ 15 mm N, longitude 84 _ 45’ W. then due north to the Florida-Georgia state line, east along the state line to 1-75, south on 1-75 to SR 18 then east on SR 18 to US 301, south on US 301 through Citra to route 316, east on 316 to the mouth of the Ocklawaha River, south upstream following the Ocklawaha River to the Marion-Lake County line at the tip of Lake Griffin, west on the county line to the west county line of Lake county, south on the Sumter county line to the intersection of an east--west projection of the Hernando-Pasco county line, west on the Hernando-Pasco county line to the Gulf of Mexico at Aripeka.

Division 16. The Virgin Islands: St. Thomas, St. John and St. Croix.

Division 17. From Brevard/Volusia County line near the Haul-over canal between Mimms and Scottsmoor, South along the Brevard/Seminole County line to the Orange County line. It follows the Orange County line West at the Orange/Lake line, then South following the Osceola line to the North Polk County Line and then eastward to Sebastian. Division 4 has Seminole County including the St. Johns River, Lake Monroe and Sanford. Essentially our AOR includes Brevard, Orange, and Osceola Counties with 5 Flotillas. They are 17-02 South Brevard, 17-06 Central Brevard, 17-09 Titusville, 17-10 Osceola County, and 17-11 Orlando/Winter Park
